Preparing for On-Campus Student Employment

There are lots of students applying so you need to put time and effort into your application. Hitting the Apply or Submit button for hundreds of roles without much thought or intention will likely not be successful.

Applicants for UW student jobs are typically required to have a resume. You’re encouraged to take advantage of our resume templates, tip, and services.

Some position descriptions may also require a cover letter and we have some great cover letter resources to help you get started.

It can also be helpful to have a LinkedIn profile because hiring managers often check the profiles of their top candidates. We have LinkedIn resources and a headshot photobooth.
