Finding Part-time Roles Off-Campus

If your search for an on-campus role isn’t successful, or you prefer to work in the evening or on weekends, consider applying for roles off-campus.

Handshake typically lists several hundred part-time jobs in UW’s zip code (98195).

There are dozens of businesses on or around “The Ave” (University Way) near campus.

Nearby “U Village” (University Village) also has many opportunities.

If you’re a little more adventurous, you can use Seattle’s public transportation system to pursue roles further from campus. The Light Rail’s University of Washington station (near the football stadium) and the U District Station (near The Ave) make it easy to connect with jobs in different parts of the metro. The Capitol Hill neighborhood is one stop south and the Ravenna/Roosevelt neighborhood is one stop north.
