Handshake Access Details
Handshake is a powerful recruiting platform enabling students and alumni to connect with employers, both domestic and international, for their next incredible internship or employment opportunity! Read on for information on how to connect.
- Degree-seeking UW Seattle and Bothell students:
• Students registered for the current quarter can login to their Handshake accounts at uw.joinhandshake.com using their UWNetID credentials - UW Seattle & Bothell Alumni:
• If you have never had a Handshake account, you may request an alumni account by completing and submitting the Alumni Free Handshake Access webform.
• If you already have a Handshake account and would like to update the email address associated with that account, you can do so by adding an additional email address to your account and marking that as your primary email address. Find detailed instructions here, and if you have questions, email handshake@uw.edu. - UW Tacoma students and alumni:
• Contact tcareer@uw.edu for further information about the UW Tacoma Handshake platform. - UW Certificate and non-matriculated students:
• Request Handshake access for a nominal quarterly fee.

- UW Departments are invited to create an employer account to post on-campus employment with the University of Washington.
- UW Advisers may also request a Handshake student account to assist students with their job and internship search activities.
- Employers are invited to create an account on Handshake and connect with the University of Washington.
- Community Members may request Handshake access for a nominal quarterly fee.
