Performance Evaluations
We believe that on-campus employment can help students develop skills and experience to propel them forward on their academic and professional pathways. A great way to help students reflect and make meaning of their on-campus jobs is to conduct performance evaluations.
The variety of student positions and supervisor relationships can make engaging with students in this way challenging for some departments. Managers can select from the following resources and modify as appropriate to meet the needs of a given position or working culture.

NACE Career Readiness Competencies
In 2021, NACE (The National Association of Colleges and Employers) collaborated with colleges and employers to identify eight core competencies that broadly prepare the college educated for success in the workplace and lifelong career management. Our Build Career Readiness Competencies document provides language for students and managers to talk about skill development.
LinkedIn Learning
LinkedIn Learning is an on-demand video learning platform available to UW faculty, staff, and students that can help anyone develop and enhance skills.
As managers, LinkedIn learning courses could be used as a tool for your students to learn a new skill or for you to explore concepts and strategies to improve as a supervisor. Free access to LinkedIn Learning is provided to all UW students, staff, and faculty by the Student Technology Fee.
