The Early Bird Catches the Worm

The biggest hurdle in the tech industry is getting your foot in the door. Aside from filling out your portfolio with many interesting and diverse projects, the biggest piece of advice I can give is to be proactive in your applications, whether they be for internships or full time offers, reach out to recruiters. Associate a personality with the name and piece of paper they’ll be looking at. Most of all thought, I recommend applying to positions as soon as they become available. Be proactive in finding new opportunities and apply to them as soon as they are available. As openings dry up, the process will take much longer. So, apply early, and cast a wide net. Just one internship or position will open the door to the sea of possibilities in the industry!
