As an immigrant from Armenia, I found myself working in restaurants as it had a lower barrier to entry and some flexibility in scheduling and pay. I eventually decided to make a career out of the industry that supported me through my younger years and moved on to management and leadership within the food and beverage industry and hospitality. I now proudly own an Armenian restaurant, lead a wonderful team at an iconic restaurant in SF and help with small projects on the side.
