Research and design a new product for a banking client with BCG’s Strategic and Experience Design team.

Welcome to BCG’s Strategic & Experience Design job simulation! We’re so excited to have you here with us!

So what exactly is a job simulation? It is the perfect opportunity to take on practical tasks similar to what our very own BCGers would work on. You’ll get a true feel of what it is like to work at BCG giving you a deeper understanding of what BCG does and help set you up for success when you decide to apply with us.

In this job simulation, you’ll learn about Human Centered Design within BCG X. BCG X is at the forefront of technology – our teams solve the most challenging and impactful problems posed by digital acceleration. The Design Team acts as the user advocate making sure the technology and service solutions address the right user problems and are also easy and delightful to use.

Within the Design Team, there are two types of designers: Strategic Designer and Experience Designer.

A Strategic Designer is an individual who is passionate about advocating for user needs and the user experience throughout the design process. They craft and lead efforts to explore new domains and situations, make sense of research data, and work with a talented team of people to create solutions inspired by those insights. An Experience Designer is an individual who is passionate about user experience (UX) design and the process of creating products that provide meaningful and relevant interactions. This involves the design of the omnichannel experience of integrating the product, including aspects of branding, design, usability, and function.

This is your chance to experience a day in the life of a Strategic or an Experience Designer. After finishing each task (change module with task), you’ll be provided with real-life work sample answers from our leaders and you can see how top-tier consultants and our designers would have tackled each task, so that you can learn from their approach.

Disclaimer: Participation in this job simulation is not an employment relationship with BCG. It is our policy that you do not list your completion of this program as work or internship experience on your CV, LinkedIn, or any other social media or professional platform. For guidance on how to accurately represent your experience, review the Forage CV referencing policy.

This program is self-paced. It takes approximately 3-4 hours to complete.
