The UW Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is a complex academic and clinical department in the School of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals, which include the UW Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Valley Medical, and VA Hospital. The Department includes rehabilitation physicians, clinical and neuro psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, prosthetics & orthotics, speech pathologists, and rehabilitation counseling. The department has four degree programs and extensive research programs with over $11 million in grants per year.

They have an outstanding opportunity for a RESEARCH STUDY ASSISTANT. Research investigators are currently seeking a highly motivated, interpersonally skilled and organized individual to recruit and conduct follow-up interviews on subjects with spinal cord injury (SCI). One study examines long-term outcomes of SCI. Another examines the effectiveness of an innovative peer-led self-management program in SCI. In addition, this position will assist with our SCI education programs. This is a great opportunity to obtain valuable experience in a research and educational setting.

Minimum Requirements: Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience OR equivalent education/experience.
