Elective Africa follows AAMC’s Guidelines for premedical and medical students providing patient care during clinical experiences abroad. The healthcare internships are suited for premed students, undergraduate students, medical students, medical residents, and healthcare practitioners.
The hospital internships in Kenya and Tanzania expose you to a health system that is different from that of your home country; with different diseases, limitations of technology, diagnostic services, and treatment options. A chance to make an impact through volunteering in our community outreach programs.
The specialties and departments available in our medical internships include general medicine, OBGYN, emergency medicine, pediatrics, surgery, women’s health, maternal care, trauma, tropical medicine, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDs, dermatology, internal medicine, dentistry, et cetera.
