We have become aware of another phishing scam targeting UW students.
The email message may appear to come from a UW email address, and/or the individual will claim to be a University of Washington staff or faculty member. The email offers a remote internship and requires the potential applicant to text for more information.
These are NOT legitimate emails or opportunities and are attempts to gain access to sensitive information – if you receive one of these emails, please follow these steps:
- Do not click on any links or take any action as requested in the message.
- Send the message (as an attachment) to reportedspam@cac.washington.edu.
- Delete the email.
- If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate email us at askcic@uw.edu.
