Darshil’s Advice – Imposter Syndrome: Slow Down

Every former student of UW you talk to will describe feeling imposter syndrome at some point during their time on campus. It’s all too easy to experience a sense of inadequacy or believe that there’s something more productive you could be doing when you’re surrounded by the motivated and talented students that UW attracts. My advice to current UW students is simple: take a moment and relax. You don’t have to have your entire life figured out, and you don’t have to always be doing “something”. We’ve all been there, and I promise that those individuals you constantly compare yourself to have felt the exact same way you have at some point. Slow down and enjoy your time on campus; it flies by much faster than you think.
