Student Career Treks – Spring Break

Interested in learning how to put your degree to use? UWAA career treks offer a chance to meet up with UW alumni who are making an impact on these all-day field trips to companies around Seattle. Pick from the four fields listed below and get ready for a deep dive into life after graduation. Applications close Jan. 27.

All majors are welcome! Choose from four fields for your all-day exploration:*

March 20

  • Biotechnology – Biotech careers combine both technology and science. Meet alumni working in biotech and discover how you can begin a career in this dynamic, growing field.
  • Social Justice – From lawyers and civil servants to grassroots organizers and policy advocates, social justice workers turn their skills and passions to creating a more equitable society.

March 21

  • Arts, Entertainment & Recreation – Whether you’re into live shows or gallery exhibitions, this Career Trek will show you what it takes to make a career out of connecting people and culture, with an emphasis on informal education and community engagement.
  • Marketing – Even the best ideas can fail if the right people never hear about them. From developing strategy to creating compelling content, the marketing professionals embody a wide variety of interests and skillsets.

*Lunch and transportation from the Seattle UW campus and back included. There will be a $40 deposit to hold your spot, which will be refunded at the end of the Trek.
