UCSF MS in Global Health Info Session (11/10)

Why study global health at the University of California, San Francisco?

The 11-month, full-time global health master’s program offers:
• Training for global health service and leadership
• Ten weeks of global health fieldwork [r20.rs6.net]
• Interdisciplinary curriculum [r20.rs6.net] and world-renowned faculty [r20.rs6.net]
• Preparation for careers [r20.rs6.net] in research, policy, organizational leadership, epidemiology, consulting, academia and program management

Global health research is central

The capstone project is the centerpiece of the Master of Science program. Students focus on a particular area of interest and apply rigorous scholarship to an active research project in global health, either in the United States or with an international partner, during one quarter of the program.

Admissions reviews are holistic

The master’s program places a high value on the diversity of students who matriculate and reviews all applicants in a holistic manner. GRE scores are not required. Applicants who come from traditionally underrepresented groups and students who have faced hardships are encouraged to apply.
