The University of Washington Strings Program presents “Ask an Alum,” a discussion and question-and-answer session with School of Music alumnus Tigran Arakelyan (DMA, Orchestral Conducting). Tigran Arakelyan is an Armenian-American conductor and executive director. He is the newly appointed Executive Director of Music Works Northwest. Tigran is the Music Director of Northwest Mahler Festival, ORS of Tacoma and Artistic Director of Port Townsend Symphony. He received awards from The American Prize in Programming and the Global Music Awards.
