Undergraduate Vascular and Interventional Radiology Symposium (UVIR)

From the Undergraduate Vascular and Interventional Radiology Symposium (UVIR) leaders:

Dear Premed Students,

We are excited to announce the first Undergraduate Vascular and Interventional Radiology Symposium (UVIR). This is a free online conference on September 24th at 9:00 am PST.

VIR is one of the best kept secrets for specialties in the field of medicine. VIR is minimally invasive image guided surgery and VIR surgeons treat patients from head to toe. Due to the head to toe nature of VIR the topics addressed at this conference will range from Neuro-interventions to interventions that treat disease of blocked/diseased arteries and veins in the leg.

We will also have panels that address Acing the MCAT and How to get into medical school/What is medical school like.

Finally, you will be able to learn more about VIR through virtual shadowing opportunities that will be made available to you through attendance/signing up for the symposium. Even if you are busy and can not attend all or any of the Symposium, we still encourage students interested in VIR to fill out the registration form. This form gives us a way to contact you about other events and virtual shadowing opportunities. It will also help to address question you have in future events!

We hope to see you September 24th,

UVIR Team
