UW Service Organizations Mini Job Fair on Friday, February 25, 2022

UW Service Organizations Mini Job Fair on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm virtually via Handshake.

Students from all three UW Campuses are invited to explore employment opportunities with service organizations that offer a one- to two-year commitment. Whether you are interested in learning about service organizations, or you are ready to serve in the next couple of years, these employers are interested in talking with you.

Many of these opportunities are great for students interested in a gap year before heading to graduate school, students who are looking to develop their passion, or just looking to try something different before beginning their career.

Why choose a service organization?

  • The opportunity to serve others
  • Explore your passion and receive experience in your career of interest
  • Learn new skills
  • Work and possibly live in a place that is culturally different than your familiar surroundings
  • Gain new perspectives
  • Student loan deferment
  • Education award
  • Living stipend and health insurance/benefits (varies by program)

Participating Organizations include: City Year, College Possible, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Peace Corps, Teach for America, Tutors Impacting Public Schools, United Way of Thurston County, Urban Teachers, YMCA of Greater Seattle

Thanks for your help! Apologies to those of you who are multiple listservs.
