The Odegaard Writing and Research Center (OWRC), is an interdisciplinary center that offers free, one-to-one peer writing and research support for UW students, faculty, and staff. We will work with any writer, on any projects, in any discipline, and at any phase in the process. Our appointments are 45-minute consultations with peer tutors from a range a of disciplines. We’re proud of the diverse range of experiences, majors, languages, and backgrounds that our tutors bring. Learn more about our tutors and librarians here.

In addition to one-on-one appointments, the OWRC offers support for graduate students including:

  • Write for You podcast: A limited series podcast from the OWRC featuring experienced graduate writers in conversation with one another about their writing processes, practices, and tips for success. Available on all major podcast platforms!

  • Strategies for Writing: A collection of resource guides designed to help writers build effective writing processes, cultivate a sustainable approach to writing, and support the continued growth and development of their writing practice.
