Making the Most of College
If you are comfortable, then you have the opportunity to push yourself. I recommend that students get involved in an extracurricular activity that is career-related here on campus or in the greater Seattle area. Putting yourself in these rooms can help you build some of the soft and technical skills that a classroom could never teach you. If you figure an opportunity isn’t right for you, don’t be afraid to pivot. If you like your extracurricular(s) and are comfortable with them, inquire and push yourself to take a role that involves more leadership!
