Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C. is seeking a part-time Legal Research Assistant to join our Trust and Estates practice and support the downtown Seattle team. This is a self-starter position that requires the ability to work independently but also take direction and work within a team dynamic. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and manage deadlines, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be detail oriented.
This role is Part-Time, averaging 20 hours/week on site with the opportunity for flexible hours. Pay range is 21.30-23.50/hr
Duties:
- Conducting research focusing on Archives and previous filings with the state
- Maintaining physical and electronic client files
- Preparing correspondence, typing, and proofreading of documents
- Correspondence with clients regarding sensitive information
- Preparing and filing documents within the state courts
- Drafting and mailing letters to clients
Required Qualifications:
No legal experience is required but should have experience in the following areas:
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for learning new software
- Ability to have discretion with sensitive client matters
- Maintaining, indexing, and retrieving accurate public-records
- Provide professional customer service by telephone, email, and in person
- Detail Oriented and organized
