Applications Open: 2027 NextGen Summer Policy Academy

2027 NextGen Summer Policy Academy (SPA), a fully funded, three-week professional development experience for students interested in public service careers. We’d appreciate your help sharing this opportunity with eligible students. Last year, with your support, UW students made up 18% of the SPA cohort!
- Program dates: June 14–July 3, 2027
Program: Fully funded; one week in Washington, D.C., followed by two weeks of residential study at a host campus (UW’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, University of Minnesota, and/or UC Berkeley). Students receive a $1,000 stipend, with travel, lodging, and meals covered.
Eligibility: Undergraduate students who will be seniors in 2027–28 and are on track to graduate between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028, with a demonstrated interest in public service careers. - Details & application: Link here & FAQ page
They will be hosting an informational session and office hours throughout the fall to help prospective applicants learn more about the program and application process.
