New Minor! Sustainability and Environmental Justice

Interested in tackling issues of sustainability through the lens of environmental justice?

A minor in Sustainability and Environmental Justice (SEJ) helps students apply a justice lens to the connections among sustainability, sovereignty, structural racism, climate change, biodiversity loss, and legal and governmental systems. Students will explore what it means to connect struggles for justice among humans with the ethical and political standing of other organisms and the natural world. The SEJ minor provides students will the knowledge and skills to effectively address justice in environmental issues using real-world applications, and to provide support to impacted communities.
