Recruit at UW
In addition to posting a job on Handshake, there are a variety of ways to connect with UW students about your job and internship opportunities.
Virtual Events
Hosting a virtual event is a great way to maintain brand presence, share hiring needs, and connect with interested candidates. Post your virtual event in Handshake for promotion to UW students. Below are some ideas for virtual events:
- InfoSession: Discuss opportunities and answer student questions
- Informational Webinars: Support student development of soft or technical skills
- Group Coffee Chats: Engage with small groups of students in a more casual setting
- Company Tour
On-Campus Interviews
Space is available for employers to host interviews. Review our webpages for details: Interview on Campus. Please connect with cicevents@uw.edu with questions.
Career Fairs
We host several career fairs each year with a mix of both in-person and virtual events. We offer both all-industry fairs along with industry-focused fairs. Review the list of fairs on our career fair calendar and on Handshake. Please connect with cicevents@uw.edu with questions.
Connect with Student Organizations
Registered Student Organizations (or RSOs) are often receptive to hearing from employers, sharing information about opportunities with their membership, or even inviting employers into events or meetings.
Get Involved – Support the Career Development of UW Students
Students benefit tremendously from hearing alumni stories and advice – through blog posts, podcasts, panels, job shadows, and more. If your organization has alumni who are interested in sharing their experiences, we’d love to connect with them! Check out our Share Your Experience page to see examples and indicate your interest.
Advertise in our Student Newspaper
Our student newspaper, the Daily, has robust print and virtual readership stats. Advertising in the Daily can be a great way to promote your brand and your opportunities to the UW audience.
Additional Tips for Building Your Brand
Leverage your alumni and your former interns to help tell your story on campus and build or retain connections.
