Global Career Accelerator
This past summer, 198 Huskies participated in the UW Global Career Accelerator, a for-credit online program designed to help students build real-world experience….and reviews showed they loved it!
Because of the success of the program, UW students looking to gain valuable experience can now add the Global Career Accelerator to their schedules this fall.
Here’s What Recent Participants Had to Say:
“The actual translation from ‘school’ work to actual career work is super valuable and all the career resources were super incredible.”
“I really enjoyed working on real-world projects because they gave me a realistic sense of what to expect in the workforce.”
“I think this is just the first class where the learning feels directly tied into career prep, both on the technical side and the professionalism side.”
“The program has given me more confidence in my abilities and helped me realize that I want to continue pursuing digital marketing and creating human-centered brand experiences in the future.”
“The most valuable part of The Global Career Accelerator has been working on real-world projects and learning industry tools like Semrush, Google Trends, and AI.”
What is the UW Global Career Accelerator?
The UW Global Career Accelerator is a fully online, for-credit, 10-week program open to undergraduate students of all majors across all three UW campuses.
Students choose from four tracks – Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Coding for Data, and Career Rotation.
Within each track, students build in-demand skills, work on real-world projects from companies like OpenAI, L’Oréal, and Nike, and earn digital certifications that demonstrate proficiency with industry-relevant tools.
The program is designed to give you concrete experience you can bring to your resume, portfolio, internship and job applications, and interviews.
The Global Career Accelerator gives students a way to build meaningful professional experience alongside their coursework. We know that schedules, geography, and financial constraints can sometimes make traditional internship formats difficult to navigate, this provides students with another option.
