Education AND Experience Matter!
Take advantage of opportunities to gain experience as a student assistant! I spent all four years of undergrad at UW Medicine’s Dept. of Comparative Medicine, which prepared me for my current career in fiscal analysis, but has also given me paths to laboratory research, epidemiology, and my current MPH candidacy. My work experience at UW comes up far more often in interviews than my actual degree!
