Don’t Be Ashamed to Need Help

College and careers are difficult and can be overwhelming to navigate the first year or two, especially for those who have traveled or left their childhood home. Often, the pressure to succeed can drive a lot stress, so it is important to always communicate with yourself about how you’re feeling and to address those feelings accordingly. Light exercise, talking with loved ones, or seeking professional guidance have all helped me to address the complex new emotions that come with this chapter in life.
