Be Open To New Experiences
My biggest advice is to take advantage of the many opportunities available to students at the UW. I found my path to my current job by applying, on a whim, to a student job in the libraries my sophomore year. Between that and the many other extracurriculars I took up to make myself a generally more competitive candidate, it was much easier for me to find job than it would have been if I’d been focused solely on school.
