First Generation Dental Student Association at the University of Washington (FGDSA) is a student-led group that fosters professional support for first-generation dental students at the University of Washington School of Dentistry (UWSOD).
We strive to address the integration of first-generation dental students into the UWSOD and the health profession through mentorship and career advising.
Our goals are (1) to help first-generation dental students develop professionally and personally, (2) to build a strong community to support first-generation dental students, and (3) to serve as a platform to allow first-generation to advocate themselves and to express their voices.
