Department Description

UW Recreation is a department within the Division of Student Life. We provide safe, accessible, and dynamic recreation experiences to engage students in growth and wellbeing. UW Recreation serves over one million students, faculty, and staff each academic year through informal and formal recreation, including fitness and sports classes, intramural and club sports, outdoor education, mindfulness programs, and more.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Fitness Manager, Fitness Program Leads are responsible for assisting with programmatic and administrative support related to all Fitness programming. Examples of duties include: scheduling, data entry, planning special events, teaching classes, assisting with F.I.T, marketing and outreach, and tasks related to program organization and communication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University of Washington matriculated student
  • Must be familiar with the Group Fitness Instruction Program with UW Recreation (either as a current instructor or patron)
