UW Finance, Planning and Budgeting is seeking a Student Assistant. This position resides within UW FPB, a large central administrative unit responsible for critical University functions including the Controller’s Office, Enterprise Services, and Treasury. The Student Assistant’s primary focus will be office and team support, confidential filing, facilitation correspondence and other administrative tasks.
Major Responsibilities
- The Student Assistant will assist in creating and maintaining highly confidential filing system.
- Communicate with supervisors at all levels to send template correspondence
- With oversight and supervisor review, update and maintain departmental resources.
- Scan and save files.
- Schedule and attend meetings as needed and take and/or transcribe meeting notes.
- Perform audit tasks as assigned, including auditing files and spreadsheets.
- Take pictures as needed for announcements and or departmental recognition articles.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current student at the University of Washington with eligibility for student employment.
Desired Qualifications
- Work Study eligibility
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate use with personal computers.
- Intermediate to advance skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Outlook email and calendar.
- Experience with availability polls such as Google Polls or Survey Monkey.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio or building charts.
- 1-year prior clerical or administrative work experience.
