Web Developer and Content Editor
The responsibilities of the web developer and content editor role include maintaining and updating WordPress websites, Microsoft SharePoint Online and Teams and the creation and maintenance of ASP.NET/JSON web applications and custom tools in the School of Dentistry.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance and Development
- Maintain current website content, graphics, and code.
- Enhance current websites by creating new styles and functionality.
- Maintain adherence to UW branding, web best practices and accessibility standards
- Integrate updates from UW Web and Branding teams
- Develop and modify web applications
Coordination and Communication
- Act as a support liaison to content editors and revisers
- Work independently on projects as they arise
- Provide clear and consistent technical documentation on any new functionality or procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, bootstrap, etc.
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, WordPress and Content Management Systems
- Knowledge of security and current web development best practices, accessibility standards, and graphic design
- Form creation in Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with ASP.NET and SQL
- Experience with REST APIs
- Experience in Microsoft applications such as Visual Studio, SharePoint Online, Teams
Desired Qualifications
- Form Creation using MVC Entity Framework and ASP NET Core
- Secure access including UW Groups and Azure
- Data Modeling, Storage and Access
