Reader/Grader for TECHIN 533: Corporate and IP Law for Technology Innovators (Autumn 2026)
The interdisciplinary degree program, Master of Science in Technology Innovation (MSTI) is looking for an excellent Reader/Grader with an interest in innovation. We are seeking a Reader/Grader to support our upcoming autumn quarter course.

Course Name: TECHIN 533: Corporate and IP Law for Technology Innovators (2 credits)
Mondays 3:30pm-5:20pm
The course will meet in-person on Mondays in Building 92 on the Microsoft Redmond Campus. This position will require a maximum of 15 hours per week. R/Gs must attend all classes.
Your specific responsibilities will be outlined by the course instructor(s) prior to the start of the quarter. Responsibilities may include some or all of the following duties: prepare and grade assignments, maintain grading records, prepare and maintain course records, request student assessments for course, attend lectures, manage and respond to course-related e-mail, prepare and maintain Canvas site for course materials, develop and maintain online communications, discussion sites, etc., attend weekly instructor meetings, act as liaison between student and instructor, and facilitate discussions.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with UW Canvas Learning Management System
- Previous grading experience in technical areas desired
- Enjoy tutoring students and helping students to excel
- Experience in working with international students
- Excellent communication skills
The pay is $25 per hour.
Student hourly employees accrue one hour of sick time off for every 40 hours worked. Accrual begins at the start of employment and is available for use the following month.
Note: this job classification is governed by a negotiated labor contract and is subject to union shop provisions.
