Opportunity to work one-on-one with children and adults, helping them overcome vision problems that interfere with reading, learning and other activities of daily living. Must love working with people of all ages.
We will train the right person as a Vision Therapist. You will be in one of the most interesting and rewarding specialties in eye care. You will be helping both children and adults with visual development and visual rehabilitation. You will be able to help people succeed in life by resolving their vision problems.
We are looking for someone who is mature, reliable, has the ability to learn new things, work independently and multi-task. Must love kids and be able to engage them in activities with full cooperation.
The position is Full Time. Hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.
In addition to working as a vision therapist, you will be an office assistant, so computer experience is essential. You will be assisting the doctor during evaluations by typing information into our health records. You will also be answering phones, scheduling patients and assisting with projects. We are a small office, so everyone is expected to help out where needed.
We are looking for a bright, energetic individual who loves to help people, is a fast learner, self-directed, well-organized and has good communication skills. This person will want to commit to an opportunity that offers tremendous job satisfaction – helping children to succeed when nothing else could, and helping adults who have struggled since childhood with vision-based learning problems that now affect their professional and private lives!
Please DO NOT apply if you are interested in short-term employment. Because of the training required, and to maintain consistency for our patients, we would like someone who can be with us for the long term and make this your career.
To apply, please send an email to jobs (at) seattlevisioncenter.com. In the email include an explanation of why you are interested in this position, your experience with children and/or special needs individuals and an example of how you are detail-oriented.
