The Operations Assistant will provide entry-level operational support for the IP practice group. The position is based in the Seattle office, but will be responsible for supporting the national Intellectual Property practice group.
By supporting and assisting the IP Operations Manager, this position is responsible for:
Working directly with external vendors and internal resources to handle Practice Group - specific operational tasks, specifically regarding accounts payable and billing processes
Reconciling and managing various financial accounts with docketing and general ledger information
Providing support for process, procedure, staffing, and technology related initiatives
The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills. They must demonstrate sound business judgment and attention to detail on varied and sometimes moderately-complex assignments. This position requires excellent problem solving and customer service skills, as well as the ability to perform well under pressures of heavy volumes and requests and execute assignments with some direct supervision. Familiarity with standard databases and/or accounting software applications and fluency in standard accounting and billing procedures. Working knowledge of enterprise-level General Ledger systems, general database management, HTML, CSS, or other basic coding is preferred. Skilled in Excel and advanced excel formulas.
This position requires 2-3 years of business, accounting, economics, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional services experience beneficial.
