Be Bold for Change is a US 501 c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to embolden, equip and activate the changemakers of today and tomorrow to close the gender gap. We are looking for a part-time freelance Email Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to join our team.
Position Summary:
The Email Marketing and Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing our email marketing campaigns and managing our social media presence. This role will play a key part in increasing our outreach, engagement, and support through strategic communication and online presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Marketing:
- Develop and implement email marketing strategies to engage and grow our donor base and community supporters.
- Create, test, and optimize email campaigns, including newsletters, fundraising appeals, event invitations, and donor thank-yous.
- Manage email lists and segment audiences for targeted messaging.
- Track and analyze email performance metrics to improve campaign effectiveness.
Social Media Management:
- Create, curate, and manage content for all social media platforms.
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase followers, engagement, and awareness of our mission.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
- Track and report on social media metrics to assess performance and inform strategy adjustments.
Content Creation:
- Design and produce engaging visual and written content that aligns with our brand and resonates with our audience.
- Collaborate with team members to develop compelling stories and content that highlight our impact and initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in email marketing and social media management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Proficiency with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and social media platforms.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Ability to create and curate engaging content, both visual and written. - Familiarity with analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and community engagement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics.
