The Seattle Areas’s Top Dermatology Practice has regular post-baccalaureate positions for highly capable pre-med, pre-nursing, pre-PA, pre-ARNP candidates. We are skilled at medical dermatology, and many providers also participate in aesthetic treatments. We provide training which will allow you to become registered in Washington State as a Medical Assistant. Those who desire can also take an examination for certification. Training and position are paid, and includes Paid Time Off and Paid Major Holidays off.
Over the last ten years, our practice has placed nearly 20 (yes, TWENTY) medical assistants in to Medical School, and many more in to PA / RN programs. We have recruited from the University of Washington, Cornell, Columbia, NYU, Northwestern, USC, Washington State University, Seattle University and many others.
In comparison to medical scribe or more traditional Medical Assistant positions at hospitals, ours offers significant mentorship, broad skill development which will help candidates to be better clinicians. Our MAs take an active role with significant responsibility in the care of each patient.
You’ll learn how to take a medical intake, review past history, collect details about a course of disease, set up for and assist with procedures, prepare patient education materials, learn about how to get medications approved by insurance companies, strategies for developing a clinical schedule optimally.
Our work environment is engaging, diverse (in every way), and our culture is collaborative, compassionate, and we are curious about the details required to bring health to our patients.
We are able to start candidates “off cycle” (i.e. December graduates), and typically have at least four openings every year as candidates advance to their next educational step. We ask that you come to us anticipating at least 18 months of work at Dermatology Arts, and we offer significant financial incentives for those able to complete two years. We have an international patient base, so please let us know if you are fluent also in a non-english language. Our team includes native speakers / bi-lingual Mandarin, Korean, Hindi, and Gujarati.
