About the Opportunity
As the Talent Operations Coordinator you play an essential role in supporting College Board’s HR team. You will support the full Benefits suite provided to staff at College Board and ensure our benefits are implemented from end to end – while this work is not seen by all staff it is critical to staff being supported well at all stages of their lives and careers. You will also play a large role in ensuring our Talent Generalist team operates as efficiently and strategically as possible. You will support regular Workday functions that impact every single staff member at College Board and, based on user experience, enhance the way we operate as a Talent Team.
In this role, your work will fall into two primary buckets:
Benefits Program Support (50%)
Cobra Enrollment Support
Track and monitor Cobra enrollment including managing tracking sheet, logging payments, communicating with Finance and reaching out to participants due to non-payment.
Manage Cobra Open Enrollment process.
Retiree Plan Operations
Manage quarterly Retiree benefit payments including following up on delinquent payments, searching on-line resources to determine status of retiree, and coordinating next steps with Accounts Receivable.
Track and pay benefit invoices in coordination with Accounts Payable.
Assist with annual updates to retiree benefit enrollment and coordinate with Accounts Receivable to cancel those who have not made payment.
Assist with annual benefit audit for retirees and annual CMS compliance reporting
Benefits Compliance and Operations
Assist with annual discrimination testing and other compliance related processes
Complete weekly discrepancy reporting for Anthem
Post all benefit training opportunities to Talent Calendar
Process annual Small Benefit Distributions in accordance with TIAA Plan rules
Launch surveys after benefit trainings and educational sessions
Update weekly accommodations tracker for review by Talent Generalists
Support Associate Benefit Director with all Open Enrollment tasks
Monitor myBoard (internal intranet at College Board) pages for outdated information and make updates as requested.
Assist with other projects as directed
Generalist and Talent Team Support (50%)
Inbox Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for the Talent@ inbox managing incoming mail, responding to questions and concerns and ensuring Generalists are set up for success
Identify trends and needs that come through the Talent@ inbox to enhance service provided by Generalists to the College Board staff population
Tuition Reimbursement
Support the administrative processing of Tuition Reimbursement for the 3 reimbursement plans that are offered to College Board employees
Ensure that requests about Tuition Reimbursement are answered clearly and efficiently while honoring the Reimbursement protocols.
Workday Support
Complete the regular cadence of Workday business processes required for College Board Generalist support including name changes, location changes, checking for Benefits enrollment gaps, manager shifts and more.
Support Employment Verification requests from current and former employees at College Board
Oversee position management and hiring business processes for Contingent Workforce
Talent Team Support
As needed, support the special projects that exist throughout the talent team both virtually and in the New York Office – this could include supporting office operations at times
About You
At least 1-3 years administering benefits programs or supporting a benefits team
Experience in HRIS specifically Workday for HR related support work
Strong PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Project skills including MS Excel skills including formula development and v-lookup skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical capabilities
A keen attention to detail
Interest and desire to support user experience, team operations and work of the HR function
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, or a related field preferred
A passion and enjoyment in helping teammates and employees do their best work
Authorization to work in the United States
About Our Process
Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $50,000 to $65,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.
Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles. College Board strives to provide our best offer up front based on this criteria.
