Health Assistants at Cascades work alongside other program staff to maintain health and wellness for campers and staff within our summer programming. Health Assistant applicants must have some training in nursing or medical care. The responsibilities of the Health Assistants include:
- Organizing and administering medications to campers throughout the day.
- Responding to and treating basic injuries (i.e. cuts, scrapes, bumps, etc.).
- Communicating with other program staff about the medical conditions and medications of campers.
- Calling parents of campers regarding medical circumstances, as needed.
