Avery Dennison’s Internship & Co-Op Program has a single business focus to cultivate future talent for our rapidly growing organization. With a concentrated blend of experiential on-the-job learning, a dynamic environment, access to business leaders, and an encouraging team of co-workers, peers, and supervisors, the program will provide you the opportunity to sharpen your skills and collaborate on a number of strategic projects.

We’re seeking a Marketing Communications Co-Op / Intern to join our Avery Dennison Smartrac business in North America in Summer in a full time capacity moving into the Fall . You will provide support for North America operations. As a Marketing Communications Co-Op, you will be supporting the global Marketing Communications team in managing our customer inspiration center in our HQ in Mentor, Ohio, and providing logistics support for our global events. In this position, you’ll be reporting to the Events Manager.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a 6(+) month period to develop and learn within the global marketing communications function.

This role will involve supporting the activities in our customer inspiration center in Mentor, Ohio. This would include project coordination, registration, maintenance, updates, and setting up customer tours. In addition, this role would provide logistics support to our events team with executing global event activities.

What you will be doing

The primary roles and responsibilities of this internship will be:

  • Facilitate tours in our customer inspiration center in Mentor, Ohio
  • Coordinate visitor registration, maintenance updates, design updates, and setting up customer tours
  • Support Events Manager with all administrative and logistical activities as it relates to global events

Qualifications

What you will need to bring to the program

Avery Dennison has a long history of being an industry leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:

Education

  • Pursuing a BS in marketing, required.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous internship/co op experience or relevant work experience (a plus)
  • A confident and articulate communicator
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to learning new concepts
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
  • Teamwork, and leadership skills in order to cut across many diverse functional disciplines and regional cultures
  • Experience via student organizations, such as Beta Alpha Psi, Association of Latino Professionals of America, Multicultural Business Association, Finance Association, Women in Finance, Women in Business, or Business related organizations etc.
  • Volunteerism or similar activities

This position will be in person, therefore, reliable transportation to and from work is required.
