(Employer Education Webinar) Building Accessibility into Your Employment Practices

Employer education webinars are designed to help educate you and your organization’s hiring professionals on the top trends and best practices specific to Huskies here at the University of Washington.

Recruiters and employers can tap into a dynamic talent pool by recruiting interns or college graduates with physical disabilities.  This webinar will provide an overview of benefits for doing so and explain how to utilize inclusive practices when writing job descriptions and recruiting, interviewing, and supervising disabled individuals.  Resources will be shared along with time for Q&A.

The presenters have many years of experience in higher education and, for over a decade, have run a highly successful internship program for college students with physical disabilities in the Midwest.  To date, the Gregory S. Fehribach Center has coordinated 612 internships for 305 students from 49 colleges at 61 employers.
