Seattle University’s Pre-Health Advising is excited to present the annual Health Professions Virtual Expo!
Wednesday, March 3, 2021
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Hosted virtually in Handshake
Our annual Health Professions Expo will give you the opportunity to network with different programs and industry professionals.
The Pre-Health Advising Team has invited local and national employers as well as professional school admissions representatives from many different healthcare fields to talk directly with you.
First and Second Year Students: learn about health careers and talk with representatives about how to become a competitive applicant to their programs.
Juniors and Seniors: talk with representatives about the application process at their institution, gather information about financial aid and any special programs to which you could apply.
PREPARING FOR THE FAIR
- Update your Handshake profile. Ensure your major, grad date, school year, GPA, and work authorization information are up-to-date, as this will determine your eligibility for some 1:1 sessions with employers.
- Sign up for sessions. Once you register for the fair on or after January 14, click the “Available Sessions” tab to sign up for 1:1 or group sessions with employers you want to learn more about! Check out the Handshake Help Article for step-by-step instructions.
- Update and upload your resume. Ensure your current resume is uploaded to Handshake and visible to employers. Want help creating or updating your resume? Schedule a career coaching appointment with the Career Engagement Office.
- Research the employers you’ll meet. Check out their website and Handshake page. Search online for recent news articles, open positions they have, etc. This will help you prepare your list of questions to ask during your sessions.
