Grad Students and Postdocs – Translating Research into Career Opportunities

Core Programs in the Graduate School, Career & Internship Center, Institute of Translational Health Services, and the UW Alumni Association are pleased to present Translating Research Into Career Opportunities — for Grad Students, Postdocs, and Researchers in STEM Fields.

Hear from a panel of STEM professionals who will share insights and strategies for making that transition from academia into non-profit, private industry, or government sectors. Then, stay for the opportunity to chat with panelists and additional professionals to build connections and learn more about the transition from academia to industry and beyond.

This event is designed to be an opportunity for current UW graduate students, postdocs and researchers to:

  • Explore STEM career paths in non-profit, private industry, and government sectors
  • Learn how to enhance their job marketability
  • Develop connections with STEM professionals who have earned graduate-level degrees
