This community is geared towards students interested in entering health fields such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, and more. This page helps students 1) explore health fields, 2) gain relevant experience, and 3) prepare application materials.
In addition to this page, students interested in health careers should be aware of 3 important resources:
- Pre-Health @ UW is the most comprehensive resource, and includes information about academic preparation.
- Academic advisers can help you select majors and courses and explore ways to combine major requirements with pre-health requirements.
- Career coaches can help you with questions about which health profession would be a good fit for you; how to get clinical, research, and leadership experience; and when/how to apply to health professional programs. Connect with a coach by scheduling an appointment, attending a webinar, or taking one or both of our pre-health courses. You can also email questions about career resources or services to prehlth@uw.edu.
