New Graduate Certificate in Instructional Leadership

The College of Education is excited to announce that a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Leadership is launching this year!

The Instructional Leadership Graduate Certificate prepares K–12 educators for impactful teacher leadership roles by building skills in collaboration, inquiry, reflection, and action. This flexible 15-credit program includes five master’s-level courses designed for experienced educators seeking to expand their influence at the classroom, school, or district level. Ideal for those with a master’s degree or current graduate students, it offers practical, recognized preparation to strengthen leadership and drive instructional improvement.

Certificate students will pick 5 out of 6 possible courses to complete. You can complete this Certificate alongside other work you’re doing.

NOTE: Two potential classes for the Certificate (EDC&I 552 and 572) are offered this fall (Fall 2026).

  • EDC&I 535 will be offered in Winter 2027
  • EDC&I 553 will be offered in Spring 2027
  • EDC&I 525 and 526 will be offered in Summer 2027
