Call for Downtown District Artist Roster
The City of Bothell, in partnership with the Downtown District business community, is investing in temporary and semi-permanent public art as part of a broader place-based strategy to strengthen downtown Bothell’s identity, increase foot traffic to locally owned businesses, and support economic vitality through creative activation.
A Call for Artists is now open for professional visual artists with experience in public art projects to be considered for a Visual Artist Roster. Artists working in a variety of mediums—including murals, installation art, digital art, sculpture, photography, interactive art, and more—are encouraged to apply.
The application opens on Monday, June 15.
The deadline to apply is Friday, July 31.
Call for Public Art for Cedar Grove Park Inclusive Playground
The City of Bothell invites professional public artists to collaborate with the parks design team on a site-specific artwork for a new inclusive outdoor playground for users of all ages and abilities at Cedar Grove Park.
The selected artist will work with Harper’s Playground, a nationally recognized organization specializing in inclusive and natural playground environments. Professional artists with experience in public art are encouraged to apply.
The application opens on Thursday, June 25.
The deadline to apply is Thursday, August 17.
Grant Opportunities

King County Council has passed Doors Open legislation to increase funding to the County’s arts, heritage, science, and historic preservation for non-profit organizations through a 0.1 percent sales tax. 4Culture will implement this program through grant funding opportunities.
Eastside Artist Roster
The Eastside Artist Roster is a tool used by organizations and local municipalities to inform artists when open calls are available for events, programs, grants, and workshops.
Click here to be directed to the City of Bellevue’s registration page if you’d like your name added to the roster. They administer this program, and the Bothell Arts Commission uses the roster to announce their calls or other artist opportunities. The final question in the application is whether you’d like your roster information made available to other Eastside cities. Be sure to say “yes” so the Bothell Arts Commission has access to your contact information.
