The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) of UW is thrilled to announce that Mock ER is open for registration!
As an undergraduate student, balancing all the requirements for medical school can be overwhelming. Between volunteering, research, MCAT preparation, leadership activities, and demanding coursework, there’s often little opportunity to experience what real clinical problem-solving actually looks like.
To bridge that gap, we’ve created a 3-hour immersive emergency medicine simulation where teams of four will compete to triage, diagnose, and treat patients in realistic clinical scenarios. Just like in a real emergency room, some diagnostic tools and tests will guide you toward the correct treatment, while others may be misleading or unnecessary. Success in the competition will depend on teamwork, critical thinking, discussion, and effective research with your teammates.
The clinical cases featured in the event have been carefully developed by physicians and medical students, who will also guide participants through each case afterward to review the appropriate diagnostic approach and treatment decisions.
Think you’re up for the challenge? Registration is open now and will close on May 29th at 11:59 PM PST. To register for Mock ER, please fill out the form below: https://forms.gle/1hPd24z2xhr94UQF7
By filling out this form, you commit to being present and active during the entirety of our Mock ER event on Saturday May 30th from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM which will occur in-person (room is TBD).
