They are currently offering two summer programs:
🩺 Pre-Medical Health Scholar Intensive
A 7-week program combining a Kaplan-led MCAT bootcamp in LA with hands-on clinical experience in a hospital setting. The application deadline for the upcoming cohort is April 17th, and the program is designed to support students in strengthening both their academic preparation, clinical exposure and professional development.
Tuition includes:
- 135+ hours of Kaplan MCAT instruction
- 5 AAMC full-length exams
- 125+ hours of clinical experience in hospital units
- Mentorship, application support, and professional development
- UCLA Fielding School of Public Health certificate
- 1 year access to Kaplan materials and to CHS membership
🌏 International Health Scholar Intensive – Tokyo, Japan
A 12-day immersive program where students explore U.S. and Japanese healthcare systems, visit hospitals and clinics in Tokyo, connect with physicians and industry healthcare leaders, attend Master level lectures, cultural excursions, complete a case study and receive a certificate of completion from UCLA fielding school of public health.
Tuition includes:
- Academic instruction and lectures with healthcare leaders
- Hospital and clinic site visits in Tokyo
- Cultural excursions and program activities
- Group travel coordination (with option to arrange independent flights)
- UCLA Fielding School of Public Health certificate
- Ten (10) daily breakfasts, seven (7) lunches during designated class days and site visits, one (1) cohort group dinner.
Students also have the option to opt out of the group flight, which can reduce overall program cost depending on travel arrangements.
Both programs are designed to provide meaningful exposure and help students gain a broader understanding of healthcare.
They also host weekly virtual info sessions where students can learn more and ask questions:
- Japan Intensive: Wednesdays at 5 PM (PT)
- Pre-Med Intensive: Tuesdays at 4 PM (PT)
