Are you looking for an opportunity in pre-dental shadowing, outreach and volunteering?
VAW Global Health Alliance is very excited to share an opportunity for students who are on a pre-dental/pre-health track, who are interested in Global Health or those who are passionate about making meaningful differences to participate in an internship out of country. This opportunity is open to any major and academic year, and is a great way to shadow, volunteer and network.
VAW Global Health Alliances develops community health systems while providing interns the opportunity to work alongside experienced local healthcare professionals (dentists) at their outreach destination. As an intern, you will attend regular meetings, trainings and participate in fundraising activities throughout the school year. On the outreach trip, you’ll support a team to work closely with local health workers and partners to implement primary health clinics in either Vietnam, Peru, or Dominican Republic. You will have the opportunity to shadow dental professionals, volunteer, and more! Additionally, you will also have free time to explore in the host country, experience a new culture, and build amazing relationships! We are looking for committed participants who will go above and beyond to make this a memorable experience for everyone involved.
It is also mandatory that every applicant attend ONE info session to be eligible for consideration as an intern. They are holding two info sessions, one on Jan 12th at 6 p.m. and the other on Jan 13th at 6pm via Google Meet.
The info session will be a chance to learn more about our Summer 2026 trip, to get a breakdown of the trip and costs, and to ask any questions.
