Legislative Information Services Work Study Internship
The Office of the City Clerk advances principles of open government and inclusive access through effective facilitation of the legislative process and transparent, accountable stewardship of public information and the official record, including City Council proceedings and legislation. The office manages the City’s Boards and Commissions Registry Program; coordinates public records disclosure requests; and provides information technology, administrative and operational support to the Legislative Department.
We are seeking a motivated undergraduate work-study intern to provide support to the Legislative Information Services unit, which manages official filings and legislative documents for long-term preservation and current public access. If you’re a student who is detail-oriented and eager to learn more about local government, we hope you will consider working with us! We welcome applications from non-traditional students.
Municipal Archives Work Study Intern
The City of Seattle is looking for a Municipal Archives Work Study Intern to join the Office of the City Clerk (OCC) in the Legislative Department.
The Municipal Archives Work Study Intern is an undergraduate (preferably sophomore, junior, or senior students) or graduate Washington state work-study eligible student who will assist in several aspects of the City-wide archives program, including supporting customer service by pulling and re-shelving records, providing access to records by inventorying historical records, scanning and cataloging photographs, and performing data entry. This position reports to Sarah Shipley, Interim City Archivist.

The Department of Elections at King County is committed to civic engagement and voter education to increase voter participation and eliminate barriers to voting. We work year-round to be the leader in providing inclusive elections. The
Elections Outreach team is responsible for engaging with, educating, and registering all our communities of voters and future voters. The Civic Education Interns will be specifically involved in reaching out to high schools in King County, with a special focus on south King County.
