The UW’s major in Public Service and Policy has been approved! The department is launching the major this Spring and will enroll their first students in Autumn 2025.
The new major is interdisciplinary and designed to bring students to a deeper understanding of their roles in public service, the creation and implementation of public policy, and civic health. At this time, there is no more important work than engaging young people in the strengthening of our democratic system.
Public Service and Policy is a minimum requirement major:
- 45 college credits with a min 2.0 GPA
- 2.00 in PUBPOL 201 Intro to Public Policy & Governance
They are offering PUBPOL 201 every quarter including an asynchronous option in Summer 2025.
