UAA Advising is hiring for two Academic Adviser positions. They encourage candidates to apply to both positions if interested, as they will be running the hiring processes concurrently. Although open until filled, priority application date is May 18, 2025. Both positions have received funding through June 2026, and there is a possibility for extension based on funding.
Academic Adviser: UAA Advising supports pre-major students as they explore academic opportunities and connect their personal goals, values, and interests to curricular and co-curricular experiences. UAA Advising plays a central role in welcoming new students during Advising and Orientation and stewarding their academic experience until they declare a major. This role will advise students in a 1:1 capacity and support programmatic work related to scaled advising. The right candidate will join a collaborative, purposeful team of professionals excited to play an instrumental role in the lives of students by helping them make informed academic choices and supporting their experiences at the UW and beyond.
